  • help finding this plug

Does anyone remember seeing this plug of this style on either a cab, 80 or a4 b5?

I need another one but can't remember what location or model they came fitted to and vaguely remember seeing one on the stereo in my old avant

Is it for the vdo clocks or something in the region, for some reason that's plug is familiar

I think there might be one there? It also reminds me of the speaker plugs for the rear speakers for the avant

Looks like the connector for the outside temp display. How many pins are there ?

Don't think it is the temp display as it is Yellow and has more wires coming from it.

Where about's is that two wire one located? There are a couple of unused connectors in among the mess of wires under the fuse box.

There's a connector like that behind the clocks on some models only with four wires going to it, I have no idea what it's for as the outside temp connector is yellow and Audi do tend to colour code their electrics. I used it to connect the outside temp display and am soon to do the same on my B3 quattro, can't remember exactly what I did but it involved some cutting of wires and splicing into others as well as adding a twin core cable to sensor itself. I followed a guide on here but it was nearly ten years ago so I can't find the thread

Do you know about "ATP" and how it works? You start by clicking on the binoculars icon. Select "ATP".

When I put that PN into ATP (with no spaces, i.e. 893971634) and then selected "All Models", I got 67 hits comprised of C4s,A3s,B5s, RS2s, S6Plus, etc etc. over various years. Very very common. Suggest that you have another look and then drill down. I think there were five locations in a C4 UrS4 for example.

OR just buy this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-VW-Sk...-/181932094680

There must be something wrong with my etka. I have tried doing that and it just comes up with search yielded no results.

I need to get hold of a later version and install it on my newer laptop and see if that helps with my search.

first do the search in part number section, see if it was replaced by something, if yes, ATP the new code.

Choose your market and model of interest. Can't be easier than that.

I was using a 2007 version and ATP worked fine.

I believe it is behind the steering wheel when you try to remove the instrument cluster.

That is an excellent resource. Thanks for posting.

                            Otherwise, (with similar end result):

                            Try this:

                            http://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+100...959-959015/#20

Then go down to item 20 and click on the (i) icon. A fantastic list of VWs,Audis,Seats and Skodas that used that flat pin contact comes up.

Select one of the vehicles that you have and click on that list and follow the PN down the rabbit hole.

Thank you to everyone who helped, especially urs4boy for the help. I've managed to source a plug now so can get on with what I had planned.
