  • Do I keep or do I sell the quattro?

Been here eight years now and fed up of being cold so we off to Spain next year. So my question to you guys is, do I take my 1984 ur with and convert to left hand or do I sell it here and replace it when in Spain? What do you think?

Since the fire wall/scuttle and water box (items 15 and 21 below) for are different from LHD to RHD and the wiring harnesses are also different, I would suggest that very likely it would be economically unfeasible to make the conversion from RHD to LHD. Better to sell in RSA or ship back to the UK and sell there. Also Items 33 and 34 below are different LHD to RHD. And the pedal box and....and...

Sell it and buy 'something' in Spain. I do appreciate it will be a wrench to sell it. Or store it with a pal until you are sure you're staying in Spain.

Take it with you and drive it, I drove a left hooker here in the UK for a few years, it was awesome.

Thanks for your thoughts, will give it some more thought
Also contemplating a 3b swop for the wr engine as I have almost everything ready to go. Have tried searching flywheel info but can't find anything regarding timing pin position as I will stick with the wr flywheel, any links? Thanks.

Don't see the issue. Just take it and drive it.

I have only had LHD in the UK for almost the last 15 yrs

I agree, being on my second LHD Corrado I don't really see an issue, sometimes it's actually an advantage as you can see up the inside of vehicles ahead and one simply needs to hang back a little further on long straights before overtaking.

I'd take the car with me and continue to enjoy it.
