Audi 80 1995 wiper prob

My 80 cab is a 2.0 8v with a wee prob
Wiper come on byself when driving but go off when I put on and off
Any ideas

could be the wiper switch contacts, try cleaning them.

A wee tip my mate told me was to strip down the column around the steering wheel and use a cloth or paper towel and use this to transfer WD40 onto the contacts, seems to have worked well on my RS2 heater switches....
