Dont judge the new Mad Max, by the old movies. This is an awesome action movie in its own right, and even better with the legacy of the Mad Max series.

BTW: I hated the first movie, apart from the last 20mins.

I saw it last night and had very low expectations (yet was interested because it had a 98% rotten tomatoes rating).

I was pleasantly surprised. More old school blowing things up and crashing than CGI effects. I'm sure many of them were actually CGI, but they are that good that you can't tell. I really thought it was fantastic.

The first two were proper road movies made to appeal to petrol heads and featured some really cool and mean motors. The third was more commercialised, not a car in sight and nowhere near as good.

Yeah, I was quite impressed. Visually stunning.

Don't expect a great story/plot, but the original didn't have much of one either. But, it was a great action flick. I quite liked it.
