  • S6 Rear Speaker Wiring

    Regards,
Does anyone have any idea what are these 5 wires to the rear speakers. OEMs want to replace because the foam membrane is damaged. Radio is oem. Which is the best choice of speakers? Thanks

Thought I could find somethng but since my info relates to Audi Bose, not something with Nokia, what I found was limited:

Red/blue = power to rear speaker power supply relay

    Brown = earth/ground

Sorry. Hopefully a non-Bose person can help you.

Thinking about it more, for the three remaining wires, one has to be speaker signal ground and the other two are left speaker signal and right speaker signal.

Thanks Dave. I have found this on internet for Audi Delta CC.

        20-pin connector I

1 - Speaker line out (active speaker) left-rear
2 - Speaker line out (active speaker) right-rear
3 - Ground (GND) for active speaker (low frequency Ground)
4 - Speaker line out (active speaker) left-front
5 - Speaker line out (active speaker) right-front
6 - Switched positive supply (B+) for active speaker
        7 - BOSE coding
8 - Clock signal for frequency display in instrument cluster
9 - Data signal for frequency display in instrument cluster
10 - Enable signal for frequency display in instrument cluster
        12 - USA coding
13 - Data signal for CD display in instrument cluster
14 - Clock signal for CD display in instrument cluster
        15 - Ground (GND)
        16 - Positive supply (B+)
17 - Switched positive supply (B+) for CD changer
18 - Ground (GND) for CD changer
19 - Signal wire left channel (CD low frequency-L)
20 - Signal wire right channel (CD low frequency-R)

        8-pin connector II (brown)

        3 - Speaker line, right-front (+)
        4 - Speaker line, right-front (-)
        5 - Speaker line, left-front (+)
        6 - Speaker line, left-front (-)

        8-pin connector III (black)

1 - Vehicle speed sensor (Gala)
        2 - Telephone muting
        3 - Terminal 30 (B+)
4 - Connection for switching on and off controlled by ignition key (SU contact)
5 - Switched positive supply (B+) for electrically amplified rear windshield antenna
        6 - Illumination (terminal 58d)
        7 - Terminal 30 (B+)
        8 - Ground (GND) (terminal 31)
And found one picture in my pc. My radio wiring.

It seems that the wires from the radio went into the amplifier located in the speaker. What to do now when we have a common ground last speakers?
        This seems complicated

Can I leave the amplifier from the speaker ( Figures 4 ) and only connect the new speaker?
          But speaker is 3 ohm

Pin-outs are helpful but pin-outs without wire colours are still lacking.

The link below *WITH* pin-outs and wire colours was done by a great guy and UrS afficianado Steve Mills (aka Boxflares) who recently passed away.

But his hard work and info lives on:
