  • 1986 Audi 90 10vt Project

    Hello everyone!

It's been 2 years since i have the car. It used to stay in a backyard of a house for 4 years. Took my time and first i wanted a good stock one (proper running engine, rustless chassis etc..). So here i am and i am thinking of a turbo swap, expecially a WJ engine as i won't have to bother with wiring because of its oldschool ignition. So now i have the b2 typ 81 90 2.2 HY and a c2 200 5T. First of all i have some questions wether things will fit. I'd like to do a 5x112 conversion with the hubs of the 200 as i wanna fit some 15x8 urquattro wheels i have. The first problem i am worried about is the size of half shafts. I know that the 90 has the biggest inner joint and the smallest outer so the best option would be to use the halfshafts from the 200. Are they plug n play for the typ 81 or the length is different? Some audi guys said they'll fit. I also wanna do a little upgrade on the brakes, the donor would be the 200 again as it has the same brakes as the early urquattros, will they fit on the factory 90 steering knuckles?

That looks like a nice 4000 you got there. Sell me your wheels if you go for the 5x112 swap.

    Good luck with this project.
