  • Suspensions droop setting

Guys I'm using kw3 suspension in my urq with S2 running gear. I'm wondering what amount of droop people run. I'm defining droop as how far the wheel comes down when you jack one end of the car up. I have the car set quite high and I think I have insufficient droop.

Basically when coming out of tight low speed bends I seem to lift or at least get very light on a inside rear wheel and so it spins up easy. I have a white line rear arb also set to its mid position so that may have some influence also.

Ultimately a rear LSD would be ideal...

    Anyone ever measure this?

I haven't measured it but I have a similar issue with V1's, I run it at a sensible ride hight which is at the top of ride height adjustment meaning there is very little down travel available on the damper. This is OK but it can result in some heavy topping out.

Andy it does seem like the kw1 suspension is a bit short. I wonder if it would be easy to make an extension that would be female at one end and male at the other to thread onto the top of the KW damper rod to extend them. Would allow us to set up the spring platform a bit lower..

The thread on the top is pretty small and certainly not designed for use as suggested, I'm not sure I'd trust it to be honest!

I've never had any issues with mine, and I don't run it low. I am at the top of the adjustment really.
Des it probably feels like it is lifted the inside rear but in reality it happens rarely - it's just the least loaded contact patch so it spins up easily.

Yep would like a wavetech LSD. I do have an Audi V8 torsen but I reckon I would kill it too quickly.
