  • Great on-line Parts Database

This site will be a great resource for anyone who doesn't have the official (or unofficial) parts software for their Audi, VW, Seat or Skoda.

It doesn't have all of the features of course with the V-pages and such but its extremely useful and utterly free to use. Great for diagrams and collecting up lists of parts to order at TPS or search on-line for.

Thanks Paul, you can never have enough access to parts details, especially when at work. Here's another useful one:

Good find Paul, it will come in very handy especially now Vag Cat is no longer available.

Tried vagpart.com and it felt very claustrophobic to me. Couldn't see enough. I prefer 7Zap, e.g.: http://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/

That's what I love about this place... you share something you think is fairly unique and get three alternatives in response.

Both 7zap and etka.cc look good to me on a first play as well.

VAGCAT is still available, but you do have to be a registered user to access it - http://www.vagcat.com/epc/

I just wish an operation such as TPS or a successor to VAGparts (RIP) would leverage one of those databases and let you click things into a shopping basket - instead of tedious printing & scribbling of numbers to drive or call elsewhere.

Paul: while you were away I introduced the S2Forum to "Ekaterina", "Kate"'s Russian cousin with this tutorial:

                  http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...22Ekaterina%22

As for scribbling, I just highlight the PN and copy and paste it (eliminating the spaces after the paste so search engines, including Google, can find what you are looking for)

I like the fact that 7zap has a mobile version, works like a treat. In regards to PN numbers are spaces, do try both, you can find some good deals where people use spaces.

7zap does seem to be the most user friendly version of these... and you have to love the number of other manufacturers on deck as well.

Totally agree on the comment regards with/without space when searching on-line for the parts - you can be successful with either method.

At some point, those database sites will likely get torn down - even though they are a money tree for the manufacturers.

Thanks for online alternatives. One point in vagpart catalog is that it uses/shows ETKA page numbers. With these older Audi models, it's not always clear what picture has the parts you need and it can be a hassle to communicate parts with parts dealer. At least in Finland Audi dealers will not tell you part numbers, but they will communicate with you using page numbers and numbers in the picture. And if you had done little search beforehand it's easy to drop them page number and what you need (if not the actual part numbers).

One online alternative for the list: http://teile.club

I have used https://ifinterface.com/page/page3.php?langid=1 which also gives Porsche diagrams. Select carprog2.

I do like the zap site though

It was working yesterday. But I just tried it today and it is not working. Error 404. At this point I just hope that the server has issues and it will be fixed soon. Time will tell.
