  • Audi Quattro pedal box options

The URQ seems to have a poor setup for the pedal box. Maybe because its right hand drive but basically there are rods and linkages coming from the pedal box towards the passanger side were the master cylinder is. Compbrake do a kit that seems to bolt on at the servo to allow bias adjustment. But what other options are there that ideally fit the master cylinders at the pedal and not on the other side? Does s2 stuff fit? I would like a vacuum servo setup and bias adjustment too. Cheers

So it seems the coupe gt has a better arrangement. Anyone have the parts to convert ?

What about universal pedal boxes. Comp brake and odb do them with floor ,top , and reverse mount options. Anyone try one.of these? What's easiest to fit. Don't mind cutting and welding but want the easiest option obviously. Also anyone run remote servos on these cars?

I'll be busting another 90 quattro in the next 2 weeks if that's any use for you. 90's don't use the same arrangement as the Ur with the rods over to the pass side.

Thanks for the offer. Do you know if the 90 pedal box fits without major reworking? If it needs work to fit then maybe a universal box is a better all round job?

I'll ask over on the classic audi forum with regards the bulkheads (inside cabin) and if a 90 pedal box without to much work would fit.

I'd suspect that the two pedal boxes are the same. But the brake pedal on the Ur has a bracket to take the rod?

No luck with an answer on Classic Audi forum despite 40+ views on the post.

I'll ask about and let you know how I get on in the meantime. Maybe the pedal box I have may be of use to you.

Was just thinking about the current set up in the Ur and typ 85's and the position of the pedals. Stevie Wonder must have been involved with the layout as the pedals sit high up in the footwell or someone with a size 15 shoe . Making your calf muscles ache and the ergonomics terrible.

So go with a Tilton pedal box. Site the box lower to the floor making the position much nicer on the lower leg!

I'll take a photo later illustrating current foot/ pedal position.

I haven't found a direct fit aftermarket solution but some universal ones should fit. I will measure up this weekend.
