  • A6 C4 rear diff mount

Anybody know where to get the rubber mounting for an A6 rear diff mount? Like the S2, Audi only list it as a complete assembly.

The complete C4 assemby, PN 443599125 , is still available. For example:

That said, Apikol in the US makes this beauty:

NLA from Audi so I've email the website linked above to see if they can still get one.

Anybody know if the bush is available on it's own?

Not sure what exactly it says but it seems to include a p/n for the 2 bushes unless I am mistaken. Having said that I bet they are NLA as well knowning Audi!

I checked this with Audi parts guy, the bush is only available on it's own for the V8 AEC engine, but yes, you guessed correct, NLA

Confirmation of C4 rear diff mount bushing PNs

I don't know why but I didn't know that were replaceable rubber bushings for the rear diff mount from the factory. I presume the reason for this is when I ask my friend Kate about parts, I usually ask her to focus on the 1993 UrS4s, i.e. my car. This is what she told me about the 93 UrS4 rear diff mount, i.e. that is was used on a bunch of later C3s and all of the C4s. But nothing, nada, zero, zilch about rubber bushings even though they kind of show in the diagram:

However, when you pursue the rear diff mount PN, 443599125, you find this under the UrS6 listing, a bonded rubber mounting, PN 183199381A.

When you chase 183199381A, you can end up at the ECS website (link below the photo) looking at this:

                    Who knew?

And yes, I know about the Apikol polyurethane diff mount. New rubber is good too.

                      OOOppss.

Apparently the rear diff mounts on the UrS4s and the UrS6s are different and those replaceable bushings don't fit the OE UrS4 diff mounts. (However, I am guessing than an UrS6 diff mount will fit an UrS4 rear diff).

Check out this thread that I was pointed to at my home forum.

New rubber is good yes, but I have Apikol poly everything's on the rear diff and subframe and it is massively tighter on/off throttle with zero increase in transmission vibration. Of course that is compared to 15 year old failing OEM bushings but its nice to know they'll outlive the car.

Its a bit odd that it appears to be listed for all the models that share the same rear suspension set up (Type 44/C4). Whether the difference is due to redesign or pattern parts is unclear. Apikol implies the one they sell is genuine.
Looks like another opportunity for someone to design something as its essentially one bush! Although the Apikol looks like a good replacement if there is no OE alternative. I guess someone has checked Audi Tradition as this is where anything that you might need for the older models tends to end up these days in my experience!

Currently talking to Integrated Eng about buying a poly bush on it's own to fit in my brkt.

So is IE just using the Apikol mounts in the stock housing. The Apikol mount looks great but as we already have an alloy mount all we need are the mounts. Not sure how sexy it would look after a few years of our climate.
Surely looks like a job for Bambridge or Powerflex otherwise we will be raped for importation fees!
