  • Red or Black?

I'm having real trouble deciding which coupe to keep, so I thought I'd put it to a poll.

I've thought about getting one of them fully resprayed in a completely different colour but the cost of this is just too high.

They are both N reg and will require similar amounts of paint work to get mint. The black one has AC, cruise and leather, the leather can easily be swapped but not the AC & cruise. The black one has 20k more miles on the clock. The black one has a couple of rust spots, bubbling above windscreen, rear quarter above wheel & needs new wings. The red one needs the underside refurbishing, the tailgate painting and flashing in places to get a good match.

Otherwise it's basically a choice of colour: Volcano Black or Red.

I've never much liked red cars apart from Ferraris of course but the coupe does look quite stunning in red, even in the state it's in!

So hopefully a poll will help me choose!

Any pictures of red or Volcano Black coupes to help swaw me would be much appreciated too.

    A few pics:

    70
    Red
    44.29%
    31
    Volcano Black
    55.71%
    39

    The poll is expired.

Black everytime. Having said that, your red coupe does at least look red rather than pink. I have struggled to keep both red Audi's I owned from going pink after a few weeks.

I'd keep the Volcano one Will, but I am partial to dark coloured coupes

        Indigo ABY coupé

It is quite pink in places already! That is one of the big negatives with the red, I don't want to have it painted and then have to polish it all the time to keep it red! It's hard enough washing cars!

All the performance gear will definitely end up on whichever car I keep!

The Volcano is a great colour, have had a few comments over the years.

Sell both and buy an RS2 ???

In silver, black, or ragusa green, will be worth more in the long run, and more practical.

Admittedly it is the dearer option, and more effort, but much greater reward in the long run.

This post is probably no help, but it is the truth.

To be fair I think I might be tempted to do just that
                    Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
                    Indigo ABY coupé

The trouble is the one thing the coupe has over the RS2 is the shape. Which is brilliant IMO, such a classic look now. Whereas the RS2 is just an estate car!! A very rare estate car I know... And to afford an RS2 I'd have to break both these coupes which would be quite upsetting!!

Sorry I can't post the individual posts. possibly some one else can.

Clean the Coupes, do a decent two decent ads, and take out a small loan, buy a decent RS2 and it will be the cheaper option in the long run.

Sorry to be a whine, but at 53 years old - BTDT, and so I post from experience.

A chipped RS2 is no joke, and is 'savage', and a 'looker'.

                        Kind regards.

Haha, they do look good in those pics. It's a bit late to take the cheaper option unfortunately, I bought the black coupe completely standard and it's currently on it's 3rd turbo now - RS2, just about everything has been RS2'd! It definitely would have been cheaper to buy a good RS2 back in the day...
