  • The diameter on a front Koni shock?

In november I bought myself a used set of FK Automotive coilovers. The front left one had a broken shock and my plan was to use the Koni inserts fitted to the car right now.

Today I started the disassembly of one front strut. From the progress so far, I believe that the Koni shock has a diameter of more than 44 mm which would'nt fit the FK coilover strut. So do anyone know the diameter of a Koni front shock?

If it should fit, i.e not wider than 44 mm across, do anyone know how to remove the metal ring that is used to FIRMLY hold the Koni shock in the strut? Not the bolt, but the metal thingy that works like a gasket.
    /Mike

Sounds like you have cq struts as they are smaller than the s2 ones

They were fitted on a RS2 previously. FK have used a threaded tube that fits inside the strut and then welded that to the strut.

You have to provide fk with struts in the 1st place likely they sent cq ones rather than the oem rs2

You need new struts for your konis or fk shocks
