  • blink code 2413

I've just read the blink codes on my avant and it came up with 2413. The garage tells me it's the lambda probe but looking at Pauls list on s2-central it would appear to be more serious.

I haven't been able to get vag-com to read the ecu (it finds the adaptor and tells me everything is fine but can't connect to the controller) so I can't be anymore specific.

The car feels sluggish midrange and feels like it's under a lot of strain when you floor it. Also on the way home there was a slight misfire when accelerating (felt like a blocked jet clearing on a carburettor engine, if you know what I mean).

Any ideas? I've not had it back on the road that long and it would be nice to have it perform as it should. I had a focus estate giving me a run for my money the other morning!!!!!

Any tips on getting vag-com to talk to it would also be great. I'm using the 6103 lead and 5051 adaptor from VAG.

Looks like there are some bugs to find before chipping you Ben.

I have VAG-COM and plenty of spare parts (MAF, TP, injectors, amplifiers etc) that will help.

Did you change the lambda probe already ?
And if so - using what part - there are some generic probes which cause funny running on the S2.
