  • Battery relocation Info needed.. just some decent advice appreciated.

I am in the process of putting the battery into the trunk: um... boot ;-)

    Link below.

This is a fellow enthusiast boot setup. I am basically doing the same deal. Actually the shop that did the battery box is about 40miles from me. so later down the road I might have them build the same thing.

So.. here's what I have so far:

2 gauge wire running to the starter.
4 gauge wire engine/tranny ground to the passenger frame rail
4 gauge wire running to the fuse box, however not completely to the fuse box, I can't find a connector that will fit 4 gauge and plug into the fuse box at L30. So I am thinking of using the stock battery to fuse box wiring, and either putting a fuseable link or a kill switch.

The allternator also runs to the Fuse box at L30. That can be left alone.

Basically.. I haven't decided what to do about the 4 gauge wire that runs to the fuse box.

    Opinions?

And how does this all sounds about load etc?
    Too much?

Just to give an idea about lengths the 2 gauge wire to the starter is 15 feet.

The 4 gauge wire to the fuse box or close to the fuse box will be around 10 feet I believe.

    Thanks
    Josh

I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?
