Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice on electrics
Had a new heater motor fitted but it stopped working again after a very short time. Took a look today and found the power and earth cables had been reversed at the connection to the motor ! (they are different sizes but its possible to switch them !!)
Could this cause damage or will the motor just run in reverse. I assume it would just run backwards, or not run at all ??? I checked the motor is still spinning by accessing the pollen filter, and its spinning freely... I changed the thermal fuse on the resistor pack as I know this is the usual culprit, but nothing ....
Any ideas on how to test what could be wrong ?
Thanks
