  • Audi S2 front shocks.Need info and absorbers.

    Hello,

Can anyone give me codes for Koni and Bilstein B6 M55 front shocks? I cant find nowhere that info.
I need new shocks and springs to front and min.40mm lowering.

And if someone knows where to get with best prize then i would be very thankful!!

Secondly. If someone have or knows good setup like coilovers then maybe i will go that way.

Please help me because one of front absorber is run out of oil already

KW1 seems to be the best Coilover's for a B4 based on cost and performance.

But obviously a lot dearer than buying two Bilstein front shocks.

AK Motorsport may sell KW, amongst others. NCTS.

Others will know more about the Bilstein part of your query.

See if you can find Bilstein's own web site and go from there ?

    HTH.

            It`s an awful combintation.
The first reason is a damper length, you should cut a shaft.
The second is a rebound force. There should be 4-5 kg/mm linear springs to get an acceptable damping ratio on high velocities and small amplitudes.

Then what is a good combination?

In ebay, Bilstein B6 and B8 costs the same. Maybe B8 is better? Both together 300€

I want to have daily driver suspension not full track car. So it must be firm but also comfort.
I want to get lowering springs also because i dont like that my audis nouse is to high

Can someone in here get better prize to me?

Koni or some machine work on b6 + custom springs.

I`am using machined b6+linear 5kg springs+custom mounts (not a ball bearing design). and it`s very good combo by my taste. You can see it on the pic. #1.

It would be great to increase low speed rebound but you can`t do it with this piston because it`ll make more high speed rebound at the same time.

I`ve tried a lot of combinations (length, rates, preloads). Just a part of it on the pic. #2

There is the force\velocity graph paper somewhere in my garage, I can try to find it if somebody need it.

Is there any cheaper version what are good? 300€ two shocks looks a lot.
                    Bilstein B4?

-40mm on this chassis is not a damper related question at first.
You should consider customization or fabrication of parts for (by importance):
                      • steering geometry (bump steer, ackerman)
                      • suspension geometry (roll center correction, camber gain,KPI ,ET and scrub as a moment lever)
                      • Comfort vs handling (damper, spring, bump stop, energy intensity)

So I`d choose stock Boge dampers+not sagged oem springs+034 mounts and good custom alignment if we are taking about budget and time.

I have the same result unfortunately... Listed at AudiTradition for 196 euro.
So you can buy b4, it should be tuned to OE specs from a factory and there is no problems to tune them to specs you want at your local damper repair shop.
