  • Blue RS2 for sale - RHD

I've surprised myself - my RS2 is up for grabs.

I've owned the car since 2007 after getting if off JubJub. The service history is full and up to date and it's never wanted for anything - I've fastidiously maintained it (mainly via QST) as its my genuine pride and joy. I'm keen for it to go to someone who will look after it and cherish it to a similar standard, hence putting on here first.

It has one of the most (if not the most) comprehensive histories you could wish for. I have every piece of paperwork, all bills/invoices, tax discs etc since new, down the original dealer receipt. I've spoken to the original owning family and even the dealer principle who sold it.

Mileage is 136k and it's had 3 owners (4 if you count a temporary 'sales' person) including me.

Here a few bigger jobs I've had done. Probably more if I really sat down and thought about it:
    - Big Red callipers stripped and refurbished
    - Bonnet and front wings resprayed
    - Bumpers resprayed
    - New N/S lower door trims
    - NOS gear knob
    - New gear lever bearing fitted recently
    - NOS grill
    - Most of the aircon system replaced
    - Belts were done last year
    - New shocks all round in 2012 (relatively low miles since)
    - Tank guard replaced
    - Very low miles on brand new tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s)
    - Quality battery is just 1 year old
    - Last week I replaced the rear wash pump with an NOS spare I had
    - Alloys refurbished

Subtle modifications to stock that I've done include:
    - Milltek cat back exhaust
    - Tailgate spoiler with brake light
    - Boost gauge instead of voltmeter
    - Duct fog lights
    - Clear side repeaters
    - Porsche RS centre caps (have originals still)
    - Custom in car remap by PRJ (now running MAF-less, although MAF is still fitted for originality)

I needs a new auxiliary rad fitted after I spotted a pinhole leak two weeks ago (already have one to go on). I'd get that done, plus an oil service and fresh MOT before it goes.

Still used regularly so its not absolute concours, but its not that far away if you wanted to go really to town.

The eagle-eyed will notice a removable tow bar. I had it fitted and have used it five times to tow my 'Cal-Look' 1956 Beetle to drag race meetings at Santa Pod. The Beetle is road legal, but easier to have it all set up for racing straight off a trailer.

If you want a good one - this is it. I'm not in a desperate rush to sell and I need £35k firm. Happy to hold out for the asking price and the right owner who will look after it. PM me if you're interested.

Oh, I'm based in Bromley, Kent. Thanks for looking.

Even a price close to that means I will have to increase the agreed valuation on mine! Good luck with the sale.

Agreed value insurance is actually a mistake in a rising market.

These cars were generally lucky to be making five figures a few years ago. The best of them could have had agreed values at £15-20k. If you haven't changed your policy, then that's what you will get back now - after all, it's already been 'agreed', even though the 'market value' has doubled.

          Nice looking car and GLWS.

Was having this exact same conversation with a friends father the other week. I went to Duxford and back with him in his DB6 Vantage. Staggeringly beautiful car. Currently going up £50k+ each year....

Sold, and getting handed over in the morning.

Both but a hell of a lot of as I've had it for such a long time. Drove to south of France and back for my honeymoon in it, and even brought my first born back from the hospital in it. The second one (3 weeks old) is the reason for the very reluctant sale as will be put towards a house extension.

I'm sure the new owner will introduce himself on here soon

Im the lucky new owner. Despite the horrible traffic, I certainly enjoyed my first 2 1/2 hours driving back to Birmingham this afternoon. Just want to thank you to Neal. What a car! Cheers. Shen
Ps. Anyone know an Audi specialist who knows about RS2 in Bitmingham area? Thanks.

Local to me then.. My advice learn for yourself it's far more rewarding working on the car and doing it to your exacting standard.
