  • Driveshaft advice needed.

I bought 6 speed driveshafts and hubs when I bought my Swb Quattro.
The rear outer joint fits the hub but the inner joint is too small for the diff flange.
The fronts are the other way around the outer joint is too big for the hubs but the inner is right.
    All hubs are 5 stud.
    Any help and advice appreciated

Depends what gearbox and diff you have, what hubs too - post up the spec

It was all sold to me as s2 coupe 6 speed with a v8 Torsen diff. I will measure the flanges tomorrow. It is only the s2 that used the 5stud hubs isn't it?

The hubs are like these. Are they s2 specific?

Sounds to me like you have a bit of a mixture of stuff, not all from an S2.
The diff is probably a converted CQ20v rear diff and CQ20v rear shafts - these use a smaller PCD on the inner CVs but the outer CVs were the same as the S2.
Not sure about the problem with the front fitment, the CQ20v and S2 used the same size outer CVs - it was the inner CVs which were different - again CQ20v was smaller PCD (100mm)

URS4 has larger outer CV splines.....

I've had the outer cv joints machined to fit the hubs on the front but I think they are urs4 shafts as they are longer.
