  • Cheap Victor Reinz Gasket Sets

Needed a few gaskets so tried to find out the brand of the gasket set that GSF sells for our cars. Spoke to their head office and the local branch and neither could tell me the brand.

So thought I'd just order one and send it back if it was crap. At the moment the voucher CC20 is working for home delivery orders and delivery is free. So the complete set is £76.32 delivered.

Ordered it Wednesday and it just arrived and it is Victor Reinz as hoped

Hope this is of use to someone!

I ordered one for my rebuild but wasn't impressed with the quality of it.

I don't think we used a single item out of it in the end, just kept it as spares.

That's a very good price. I paid about the same amount 5-6 years ago and I know they've gone up to silly money since.

I'll buy it if that is indeed Victor Reinz.

I actually ordered from Germany 2 original oil pan gaskets and stayed away from Victor reinz. I know there is a good chance that these are the same makers but I want to have a piece of mind and help stop this dreaded oil leak of mine

Awesome, that saved me £150 (!!!! ) for the same gasket set here in Sweden.

Oh and CC20 code is also still valid.

I still have a leak 3 years on for a perfectly good rebuild of my engine. Bottom end leaked from very early on

I always use a bit of sealant on the sump gaskets. It could be a bolt that needs nipping up. I don't think you can write off a manufacturer based on one leak!

I'm not the only one that has issues. Besides the manufacturer makes gaskets. If you use them as suggested by the manufacturer and you get a problem, the problem will be.... a leak! Why? It's a gasket!

If you had to use extra stuff to make sure they work I'm not sure they are good quality then. Besides Brian knew how to fit them as he does these things with his eyes closed.

That's not to say that OEM are any better, but at least they are supposed to pass their quality control. Or at least that's the story. As far as I know reinz is what audi uses as well along with other makes like febi etc
