Hello, I'am new in here, uploading some Pics of my car. And hope some og you can help me with some questions about putting an 01E gearbox in my 90 quattro with an 01A box, can i just use S2 brackets on the 01E and it will fit directly in my car, or do i have i build my own brackets?

Thank you ✌️😃.. I've been talking to some one who think i can use rs2 mounts on the 01E gearbox, and they'll fit the b3 subframe, but I've allready bougth a bracket set to s4 that only fit the 01E and not my chassis 🙈...

you better buy some s2-rs2 6 speed gearbox mounts or custom mounts,s4 mounts dont fit on the subframe!
also propshaft wont fit,01e gearbox is shorter than o1a but you can make a washer to fill the gap
the gear linkage is also different but can be adapted
the flanges are also different,normaly 01a are 100mm and 01e are 108 mm
with a little bit machining you can fit the 01a flanges on to the 01e gearbox
i have fit a 01e gearbox in my b2 car but normaly b2 and b3 are the same

Hello thanks for answear, the flangers problem i solved with transporter t4 inner knob 33teeth spline, 108mm fits 01e and 33 spline fit front axle's I've given it a thougth about rebuilding 01a mounts, and take the gear linkage for an audi 100 5 gear, with the connection rod above the middle of the linkage

What is washer? 😁🙈..

With OE mounts you need a 40mm spacer under the left mount. However a lot of the aftermarket mounts offer a spacer included
