Audi UrS4 2.2t project

Hello!

After looking on all others projects, I thought it would be fun to share mine!

I'm already several years into it, so it will be a small summary to begin with.

It is a 1992 Audi S4 2.2t which I bought in 2010 and has kept on upgrading it since.
Driving it on summers and tinkered in the winter.

It was really worn out and in very bad condition when I bought it! Have spent many many hours on it!

It was never meant to be such a big project , but once you get started it's hard to stop

My goal is to keep it nice and clean but at the same time I want to have good performance!
This car is my pride and joy..

I put up some pictures and we'll take it from there..

Removes UFO brakes to S6 brakes

Got hold of a leather interior that I treated , became fairly good

Have changed the gas tank because of corrosion and replace the entire rear suspension to one with a stabilizer bar and also changed every bushing in the entire front and rear suspension, made a huge difference in driving performance

Changed the interior from a worn gray to a black

Repainting March 2012

Mounted Billstein B8 clubsport dampers with custom made H&R springs to match de specification on the dampers, very satisfied with the result

For those who understand Swedish, you will find my projects threads on these links

2.3 bar But the old fuelrail i had was leaking in the dyno, so has not bottomed out the engine yet!

It's two years since I built the engine , but are changing some things on it now, new cams and intake among others. Should get some better numbers this summer hopefully...

I use standard AAN sump, just needed to grind a bit on the same side as the ventilation tube is

Hello!

The last few days have I begun to build the new pressurepipes and intercoolers.
I did not like the old , partly to 2/3 of the intercooler was hidden behind the front bumper without getting any cooling and partly because I want to get on the S6 bumper without having to cut in it.

So it had to be two intercoolers in series...wanted three, but it was too tight towards the turbo in the right wheelhouse and my patience was not enough.
Built in 70mm aluminum pipes.
Just mount the left intercooler (rubber suspended) and buy hoses, then I can try it.

I also bought an aluminum radiator and threw the old original plastic

Next to do after this is to:
Mount the new bigger oilcooler
Change intake manifold
Change camshafts

Bought Schrick cams
Intake 260░, cam lift 10,9, valve lift at TDC 0,8,
Exhaust 260░, cam lift 10,9, valve lift at TDC 0,9

Nice! I'm interested to see what the cams do. I'm also running 7a cam now and like to upgrade them in the future.

Good work. However, I hope you remember the law of diminishing returns. The SMIC in series with the FMIC will add very little temperature drop but a significant pressure drop (bad).

Yes i'm aware of that but thanks for your reminder, always nice to get comments from people
I'm afraid that it will create some resistant in airflow :/ haven't had any back pressure with the old setup...nervous that this setup will ruin a bit for me!
But if it doesn't work it's no more than change it back
Just wanted the challenge to fabricate it, first time welding aluminum

Just an AAN intake manifold that has been reworked a bit and had the service channels removed
