  • 2003 Audi A6 Allroad 2.5 V6 TDI Quattro

I recently sold my A4 and took this in part ex as it needed a new alternator. It needed a few more bits too which i will list later. I'm asking £2,200 which is silly cheap for one of these and especially as I have just done loads to it.

I took this a couple of weeks ago as the auxillery belt was making a row, I found the tensioner was running off line. A little research found that the tensioner pivot bushes worn causing the tensioner to go off centre. It's so common there is a "repair kit" so after much stripping down it was fitted with new belts. The alternator is also brand new, i did a full service including pads all round. I also replaced the oil level/temp sensor in the sump with a genuine Hella unit as it was giving odd readings. A few months ago the car had a new suspension compressor and height level sensors on the front axle. the service history is very good pretty much every 10k including cambelt, tensioners and w/p at 110k. the car is currently on 128k.
its the 2.5 V6 TDI 180 bhp AKE engine with tiptronic auto gearbox, i have to say its is a very nice drive, the combination of power, autobox and the comfort of the air suspension make a nice mix.
MOT expires end of April 2016.
THe paint is good and polishes up really well, the leather is unmarked. The car has additional benefit of parking sensors front and rear, 6 cd factory stereo with Bose. Seats are heated and electric and the car has a million cubby holes. She will make someone a very nice practical car capable of shifting a family of 5 and a cavenous boot. I have a ton of history plus the receipts for the work i have done, I have all original manuals and all keys.
The a/c is beautifully cold. tyres have approx 5mm each and are Falken's
The bad points and i'm being picky

+ and - buttons on climate control are marked, there is a sticker kit on ebay for 15 quid which reviews say are very good
The wheels could do with a re-furb ideally but are presentable.

It has also got a westfalia removable tow hitch which I'd imagine is a few quids worth.

Bump, is no one interested in this car? I thought it was very well priced!? I've done a couple hundred miles in this now it's a great car. I drove a 61 plate Peugeot today absolutely no comparison.
It just highlights Audi's build quality....

That's what I thought. Nice and powerful V6 with 180 bhp a very smooth auto box comfort and quattro, leather etc. I've got a couple of coats of wax since those photos and it looks much better..

I agree, looks lovely and a lot of car for the money. .. I think the problem is most people understand the AKE to be the engine made with chocolate camshafts.... this makes them hard to sell...

Maybe. It's running well and has just taken me and the family to Cornwall in comfort with no problems.

I believe the later post 01 engines were fitted with hardened camshafts to prevent the wear. As.
I have looked in oil filler neck and there is no wear to be seen.

I've just looked on dreaded eBay there's an 01 for 2.8 an 01 with 220k for 2k and and an 04 for 4k so I think this is a steal especially given the amount of bits,I've done to it.

I had a normal A6q with this engine for ~4years (then upgraded to an A8), absolutely a great car (for a diesel ) and truely perfect for a car vacation. mpg's not that great compared to today's diesels.
