  • Audi A3 1.8t Track

Hi, one of my friend is going to build a 1.8t as mainly track car so i even if this is a 5cylinder forum maybe some member forums (that already used this engine) cand make some smart suggestions.
It should be on a small budget and I am not sure if a stroker kit worth it or not, but need some sugestion on this.
    1. Turbo - gt3076 (as proven to give around 450-500hp), or there are any worth mentioning alternative from holset / borg etc ?
    2. Stock Pistons will be ok ?
    3. Large Port or normal port cylinder head ?
    4. 1000cc injectors enough ?
    5. 044 Fuel Pump ?
    6. Stock ecu with maffless setup will do ?
    7. Cylinder head will flow enough or needs heavy porting to keep the boost level decent ?
    8. Rods - andy decent brand ?
    9. ARP bolts are a must ?
    Any feedback is welcome !

Hi Cosmin use s3 bam Pistons scat rods big port head with matching inlet engine code (AGU) get the head work done and fit better valves ti retainers and heavy duty valve springs from some one who knows what there doing to cylinder head work use arp mains and head studs Siemens deka 630cc injectors 044 fuel pump a 2.7tt v6 maf housing but use your oem sensor obviously you need the gt3076r external or internal wastegate I used internal tubular manifold 3" exaust system custom ic and pipe work make sure you use egt sensor from a 210/225 bhp 1.8t a pd130 3bar map sensor mines was pretty much the same oh make sure you go for .82 housing all best

speeding-g60 has much experience with this engine, although probably too much for a track car.
