  • For Sale Porsche 944 s2 5 cylinder 20v Turbo.

Due to relocating & loosing workshop space, my 944 project is for sale.
My plan was to build a track focused, well balanced 944 with the bullet proof, great sounding, Audi 5 cylinder 20 valve turbo engine, with 350-400 HP.
The car is a 1988 Porsche 944s2 which has been fully stripped with all corrosion removed & replaced with new, this involved replacing the outer sills (both sides) repairing the inner sills reapplying the seal sealer & rust proofing with Dinitrol cavity wax.
Engine is a AAN from an Audi S4, which was fully stripped, cleaned & inspected.
The bores were showing signs of wear, so the block was sent to Rob Walker Eng & over bored & relined, bringing the bore size back to original spec to enable the re-use of the original forged Mahle pistons, which are in excellent condition.
Crank was measured, & within tolerances, polished & re-fitted with RS2 Sputter bearings.
The original rods & pistons were re-fitted with new rings.
Cylinder head is free of cracks, all valve guides were replaced & rebuilt with the orginal valves which were within tolerances.
A new Wagner RS2 EVO exhaust manifold is fitted with a new Garrett GT2871r ball bearing Turbo with a 034 oil & water kit.
Clutch is replaced with a twin plate high performance Tilton unit, fitted to a remachined Audi 7a solid flywheel.
An Audi 7a rocker cover has been fitted, which has a shorter profile & is fitted with new VAG TFSI coil packs.
Have also fitted an EFI Express 60-2 teeth crank pulley, for the standalone engine management (Motec?)
New fabricated engine mounts & re-worked original aluminium sump designed to clear the Porsche front suspension cross member.
Engine is installed & fitted to the Porsche drive train, using the bellhousing from a Porsche 924 turbo, which interfaces with the Audi engine block.
Rear suspension assembly has been fully stripped, shot blast cleaned, repainted & reassembled using Elephant Racing, poly bronze racing bearings & solid chassis mounts.
The original Porsche rear torsion bars have been removed & replaced with new Gaz Gold fully adjustable coilovers.
Front suspension has also been replaced with the same Gaz Gold coilovers & installed with Gaz rose jointed adjustable top mounts.

    Spent so far:
    Car £2200.00
    Engine £800.00
    Engine rebuild parts £850.00
    Engine relining bores £500.00
    Head rebuilding £250.00
    New Tilton Clutch £700.00
    Wagner Exhaust Manifold £590.00
    Turbo GT2871r (new) £1450.00
Gaz suspension & top mounts £1200.00
    Modifying Sump £450.00
034 turbo oil line kit £250.00
    Efi express 32-2 crank £150.00
    Elephant bushes & mounts £350.00
    Bosch 044 fuel pump £160.00
    924 turbo bellhousing £100.00
    Coil packs £150.00

Looking for offers, & not expecting what i spent..!

    I'm looking for £5500.00 ono

Looks like a fair price considering what you have spent so far, shame you can't finish it yourself.
