              Looks very OE indeed, nice!

But, and this may be a daft question, is it wise to let it drain back to the sump on the lowest point where there is max volume of oil? Will it actually be able to drain back that way?

So the contents of your sump and the life of your engine are in the hands of a single jubilee clip?

Do not like the look of the return being so low when you open the valve its not going to drain down, I welded one in above oil the level. I think that's the way to go Also so found it necessary to fit a no return valve

Having a return above the oil level is incorrect and will not work on the breather system as it will just act as another feed when the system is under pressure.

The Fumoto valve is the only bolt on option. If you remove the sump, then you can weld on a proper return but that's much more involved.

That,s why I have a non return valve fitted seems to work fine

Tap the end of the Fumoto and use an AN fitting, like Doug did back in the day.

That's another way to do it.
You could also weld AN to drilled OEM sump plug etc.

High Torque hose clip and fluro silicon hose is good enough.

                            That's how MarkH did it.
