FOR SALE: 1993 S2 ABY. 192,000 miles. Colour dark green. In running order but it has failed the MoT.
Bought in 2002, it was in daily use from then until 2006. Then weekly use until it failed the MoT last week.
Service history available from 2002 onwards, some earlier history available from Audi records etc., from new until approx. 1996.
RS2 grill, front apron and wing mirrors.
Six speed box, dark grey “Quattro” interior.
Sigma alarm with central locking and engine immobiliser.
Scorpion stainless steel exhausts with cats fitted.
Rear nearside wheel arch – rust cut out and welded repair carried out in Sept 2013.
Attention needed to the headlining, which is coming down at the rear, and the sunroof. Sunroof motor seems to run but nothing happens, and it’s taped up because it’s started to leak.
Mot reasons for failure:
Nearside outer front CV gaiter deteriorated and no longer prevents ingress of dirt etc.
Nearside front brake hose bulging under pressure.
Rear sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened.
Advisories:
Braking system appears to need repair or adjustment.
Offside rear sub-frame bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement.
Front lower (n/s+o/s) suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement.
Fuel pipes corroded.
Both front tyres perished/splitting.
Rear diff bush worn.
A good looking car and I was still getting asked from time to time if I want to sell it, usually at petrol stations. Problem is of course I can’t take it to petrol stations any more.
How does £1200 sound, buyer would have to collect, and sorry, no Paypal.
