Are the Audi 100 avant tailgate and the a6 c4 tailgate the same?.. as I am swopping out a rusty A6 one with an URS4 tailgate that I got from a car being broken.I cant get the door lined up right.I tried reverting to the URS4 hinges that came with it but now their rubbing of the roof as in theres not enough clearance between the hinge and the roof.....baffled

I managed to put a late 96 c4 a6 tdi tailgate on my urs4, same hinges, load of fannying around, but it does fit.
I think I may have panicked a bit
Have one hinge on now after swopping over..seems fine.A lot of fine tuning to go yet,I had great fun pulling the loom out of the old tailgate and feeding it in to the new one..
