  • No Brakes (!)

I started the S4 yesterday after a very long lay up (9-10 months). Of course with the battery charged the beast started on the button, however the brake pedal went to the floor and the (!) warning flashed up on the dash. The brake fluid looked low so I topped it up but it hasn't made any difference. There is no resistance in the brake pedal, although after pumping several times I did manage to build a bit of pressure but this quickly disappeared. What do you think? Hydraulic servo dead?

probably you have a oil leak somewhere and now there is some air in the brake system so first you need to fix the leak and than you need to bleed the brakes
to look for a leak check:-brake caliper on each wheel
-clutch cilinder on gearbox or pedal(this work also with brake oil)
    -brake lines

Sounds like a leak as already suggested. Look for the fluid marks where it's escaped and you will find the culprit.

Yup a leak, even with no servo at all the brake pedal would give you pressure.

Check your wheels and then the ground, and the engine bay for brake fluid going everywhere... should be pretty obvious.
