Wow - Nice colour, nice spec:

Manual, black chrome, black leather, sunroof and climate, plus rear spoiler and rear boot seat and tail-gate roller blind.

    All for £4,000.00

    What's not to like ?

Sad to see how underappreciated these cars are.

Guy was either desperate for a sale or didn't realise what he was sitting on

I enquired about the car and he was moving it on for a quick buck. It needed a full respray and had sills patched which is unusual for one of these. Would have needed a full overhaul really.

I went to see this car, it was only 40 min up the road from me. Wasn't as nice as it looked in the pictures or I would have bought it. Service history was patchy to say the least, the rear subframe and arms were in a right state, just had a full mot put on it, surprised with the rear subframe!

When I bought I my S2 that had advisories on for corrosion on the rear subframe and wasn't as bad, also it had been running and was warm even though was parked up at his work for 2 days he said and not used. The header tank was pressurising and was bubbling. Aircon didn't work, sills rear had been patched and the fronts were like wheetabix. If some one wanted a project it would of bene okay but it was going to start needing a lot of money spending on it! Every panel had a mark or scarch on it.

                            Thanks Tom.

Just now seeing this thread again.

Once the sills are patched, I'd personally skip it unless it was for parts, I can't weld / do sills. Probably wouldn't want to be doing them anyway as while these UrS6 cars are rare there are others.

Surface'ish rust on subframes and hubs is easy enough once you have the funds and can do the mechanical work yourself.

Thanks again for sharing the feedback for all of us.
