Well I guess I should also introduce myself too. Been on the forum since 2012 and watching for the right car to come along. Almost bought an S2 Avant years before I came on this forum, an was pointed onto here from one of the members (thanks Steve - you know who you are).
So about me. A little older than some people, met a few from here at Crieff and Dunkeld. We live a little north of Dundee and like to travel around the country and indeed over to Europe. Not the worlds best mechanic but can do some work on cars, so will probably be looking to pick some brains.
The RS2 is Volcano Black, beautiful colour but will be tough love to keep clean when she's been out and the rain comes on. I got her from Belgium from a great guy Steve (not the one who pointed me to the forum), who's been pretty meticulous with her since he began his love affair with her too. I think I've pretty much picked up a belter of a motor and hope to keep her that way too. I'm not looking to race her so much, but will enjoy taking her out on meetings and getting the welly down of course adhering to the posted speed limit and remaining a courteous driver.
Have loved the Audi brand since my B2 80 then my C3 100 both 1.8's and basic as you like, but these motors took me from north Germany to just past Dundee several times over without missing a beat, and that was me. Since then I've had a few..
1998 A6 quattro 2.8 (Suzie)
2003 A8 4.2 (Tina)
2 x B4 80's both 1993 2.0 (Heather & Hazel)
1995 A4 1.6 (Heather II)
1999 A6 avant 2.4 (Bollie)
2001 S6 Avant 4.2 (Rio) (went round the ring with this)
1995 80 Cabrio 2.6 (Gracie)
2013 Q7 3.0 (Connie)
now 1995 RS2 2.2 (Pheonix)
So here are a few pictures that were taken on the journey to pick up the RS2
Started off with delays on the train
