S6 Wiper Blues

does anybody else get this with their s6??

the wipers wipe fine but on the return stroke, the driver's side wipers floats over the swept water from the passenger side blade - i have tried a wiper blade with the spoiler on it but makes no difference . . it's bloody distracting!!

The 20yr old spring is probably pretty tired. New arm or upgrade to aeros will help I'm sure

Aero arms & blades. The arms have stronger springs and the blades wipe better

aero arms - never heard of such a thing. what car(s) were they available on?

The cast aluminum portion that has the splined receiver for the wiper post bends over time from the constant spring tension. Remove the arm and remove some or the curve in that part by setting it on a piece of wood and hitting the raised area with a large soft hammer.

I think there is a post about it on quattroworld.

Worked well for me.

Would they even fit a RHD A6? Are the wipers the same way round on the LHD version?

Don't suppose you've got the part numbers for the aero arms which fit the S6?

I upgraded my wipers on my coupe. They were from an A6, they're aero wipers too! Really good upgrade.
