hi that's what I thought ? I know the cams were a few years old but hadn't been used , the part number was poorly ingraved on them rather than lazor etched but that's all I know . the s2member that has them now and wants his money back says the lift is not even the same as shircks spec for that cam apparently 10.3 lift but should be 10.9

I'm the one who bought these cams. It was stupid of me to not ask for pics. I thought I was buying Schrick 260/10.9 cams, billet looking like pops cams here: http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/130816.phtml I don't wan't to cancel the deal, because these can be usable, but they are not the ones I was after. A little bit expencive though, could have done re-grinding on 7A cams for a lot less.
Measured 10.3mm lift on them, but I havn't measured the duration yet. And I just measured the difference in base circle and lift, if the base circle starts to rise on the sides, then it can be some small difference. Any how base circle is smaller than on stock cams, so they could been re-grinded of 7A cams for example. They also have some wear on the bearing surfaces, but other wise looks like never used, like just re-grinded. Even Repo don't remember seeing Geniune Schrick cams that has been made of Audi blanks, always seen the "billet" ones. Here is some 7A vs this Schrick intake cam comparision:

Of course there is a chance these are really old Schrick camshafts, "first batch" etc..? Havn't got any confimation from Schrick GmbH. But the fact that the bearing surfaces has wear and the other parts are like new gets me suspicious, I don't think Schrick use used "blanks" for re-selling..? There is also a possibility that Schrick has done custom work on customer bits?

after 6 months.if he's going to cheat me,he can do it anytime since it's over disput

I have no doupt that Juris and Ray has bought these as geniune Schricks. They where buyed from Quattro corner. But there is something that don't feel right with these.
1. The fact that Schrick makes totally different looking billet style cams for these engines, and according to Jyrki Repo they have always been looking the same(and he has installed a lot of them).
2. Quattro corner did tell they came from BR Motorsport california. Why order Schricks from USA when you can get them from Germany easier?
3. I did understand that these where new and havn't been used by Juris or Ray? And still the bearing surfaces has wear on them, but other wise they looks just re-grinded and newer used. Looks like re-grinded cams to me. Who has done it, I don't know? There is nothing eccept a hand etched writing that could tell these are Schrick cams. Even the end of the identify code is different than Schrick informs.
4. I would belive Schrick use the same base circle on their camshafts as on orginal Audi camshafts when the cams are supposed to be used with hydro lifters. Now there is a 0.5mm difference. These cams has smaller base circle diameter.Last edited by Thuppu; 27 November 2015, 08:04.
