It's about time to start a project thread about one of my type 85 quattro's, it had it's 30th birthday yesterday which we didn't celibrate.
Bought this car in may 2011 in Offenbach Germany, went to the local government office and got the paperwork done to be allowed to drive it back home. Next to it there was an office that made license plates, less than €100,- on I could drive the car home again.
Not much changed since then, took some parts of the car I needed for my coupe quattro and dropped the leather interior this car came with in another 90 quattro and sold that one.

Two weeks ago I was 95% done with our garage rebuild and finally had time to get the car home. So here it is now, waiting to have some work done.

Plans:
- glass out respray
- fit 90 quattro or preferably 4000 quattro interior
- fit power windows
- ditch the lousy JT engine for a KV engine with new NF1 head
- powder coat subframes and wishbones and fit alu bushes/new rubber bushes
- ofcourse new engine and gearbox mounts as well
- coilover kit, maybe by fitting B3 2-piece struts and hubs
- 15" Ronal wheels (how original )
- stainless back box
That's pretty much it, nothing major really. Hope to have it done before it's 31st birthday though.
