hi guys
big brake kits for 4x108 is hard to find and my first setup for the rear brakes were urs4 calipers with 266mm vent disc from a citroen berlingo front brakes that i adapted
now i'm going for 300mm vent disc from a ford focus st170 because it has also 4x108
the idea was to mount 300mm discs with the same urs4 calipers at the rear so first I have drilled one other hole in the strut below and made some custom brackets for the calipers.afterwords i machined the vent disc because the centerhole was to small and the thickness of the disc was too large.it was 24mm thick so i adapt it to 20mm.
also the front plate from the disc was to thick,it was 10mm so i adapt it to 7mm
see the pictures from the final results
the last picture, from right to left, 256mm original disc-266mm vent disc citroen-300mm vent disc ford focus st170
the 266mm vent disc are almost new and for sale now with the washers so you can mount this with urs4 calipers on your car
yes, first setup is plug and play, only the disc need to be adapted if you buy new one
you need to drill the centerhole and wheelbolts holes bigger and i have also adapt the thickniss from the disc from 22mm to 20mm
for the front i bought a second hand big brake kit from xyz from a golf 4 with 330mm disc and 6 piston calipers with ferodo ds2500 pads
i make some custom brackets for the calipers and other rotors for 4x108
no pictures yet but there is one pictures in my garage when i bought it

I have a track car Type 85 1985, with big brakes in front and standard at rear. Under heavy braking at the end of the straight the back gets so light its not sure if it wants to pass the front on the left or right.
But full marks for the DIY. Ford ST a good option.
i dont have abs
on the 15 november i go driving for the first time on track,2 times 25 minutes
I am very curious how the car will react in terms of suspension and brakes
maybe if you have better rear brakes or front suspension it will solved your problem
i think with better rear brakes it will pull the back of the car down or am i wrong?

the washers are 6mm thick
the berlingo vent disc need to be machined a little bit before it fits on the car
the center hole and the 4 wheel bolt holes are to small, you have to drill them bigger
also the disc thickness is to big,i have machined them 1mm smaller on each side
