  • How to upgrade RS2 engine for a Urq

Have some thoughts on my mind to improve te power on low rev's
But need some help from people who has done things like this before.
If i want to make a stroker engine, is it possible to use a 016 gearbox.
Does the crankcase have a hole of the bearing from the 016 gearbox.
Did read that pisobiker has a AAL crankcase, but will fit??
What else can i do for make this enigine more powerfull a low rpm's
ADU is stock only has it a MTM chip and a 200 20V flywheel.
Also is there a AAN intake manifold on the engine and a bigger IC than a RS2.
    Things i can do???
    Strokker??
    Alu flywheel??
    Ballbearing turbo ??

If somebody has some good advise's then please post them

Rather than have a generic chip fitted, why not get the car mapped properly? But the BB turbo is a good idea, I am fitting a GT3071 from 034efi to my 10V, maybe the GT2871 would be good for your application?

      Urq

      @Corey,

A good chip must be done, bu fiirst i want a the hardware correct.
So ballbearing GT2871 would be good, and than i need to swap my rods.
Does somebody know a what rpm that turbo starts working properly??
And what should be the max NM and HP's whith that setup.
Do i need to upgrade my feulpump or some other things??
So iff i have all parts richt togetter i need to make a apiontment whith Mihnea.
Whe already discussed about the speedsignal to the ECU.

Thanks Corey (How far is the 200 in procress??)

        Javad's very good!

The 200 is in bits awaiting stuff from 034, it is being built with the same turbo, tubular manifold, 3" downpipe and exhaust.
I still need to send you an image of the loom don't I?

Javad is the owner of 034efi.com and he is very good at what he does. As long as you are not going above 600Nm then your stock rods should be more than capable.

Jaap, is your car a 20v conversion or an RR? Also can you post more pictures of your intercooler installation?
              Yours

                Edition speciale

                Niall,

Was a WX 10v turbo, so not a RR.
Here are some pics of the IC..

Thanx Corey learned a bit more.
I thnink the NM output is more than 600nm or am i wrong??
By the turbo information stood that is could reach up to 425 HP....

In my opinion yes it is a good idea to swap to a tubular manifold, unless you have a Sport one to hand?
Fuel pump would be a possibility, especially if you are using the original WX item.
Max Nm and HP difficult to say as every engine is different. You should get some good figures though with the size of that intercooler.
It was a good job you upgraded your brakes
                      Your installation looks very neat.

                        Brakes

The special Corey brake upgrade works fine!!!!!!!!!!
Thanx again, and some pics for the non believers of the Monoblock 996351425-26 on the Urq original Ronal 8Jx15 wheels...

I don't have a SQ EM, but the RS2 EM does not leave much space for a airbox and the turbo does fit very close to the car body.
So i think the RS2 EM wil give some space problems.
A tubular could be measurerd in place.

So i think the LMM's must also be relocated, just like Jeffer's car..

The tubular manifold would place it similar to this image, you would also need a custom downpipe.
