Alloy Top Mounts

Folks - trying to get my suspension work completed but the supply of alloy top mounts seems to have dried up because the members of a certain car foum seem to be buying them up like there's no tomorrow!!!

My car's now been in the garage for 2 weeks while the supplier tries to run off a new batch!!!

Who's buying them all???

Anyone got 4 spare??

I have just installed Bilstein shocks and HR springs on my car. All i can say is that i undertsand why the original topmounts dont last very long. The car is as hard as an diamond. And well much of that shock that the shocks dont take up is transmitted toi the top mounts.

My Question though is if theres any other top mounts except theese alu ones that holds for longer time. I know about the urq ones but are theese the only ones?

Don't use QRS top-mounts. Keep it original.

Alloy tms on, along with konis, 235/40/18 tyres and rs4 reps - kept original springs.

Ride firm but just right for 'spirited' driving on uk roads.

Ride height perfect for uk speed bumps!!

Steering noticeably more precise.

Coukldn't be happier - but we'll see how long the kit lasts!!

There's another swedish company that makes them too for 500SEK a piece, making it under £40 each. www.igmab.com - howvere, these seem to be universal fit and I haven't gotten round to checking out what size center hole they mare made for.

Now it worls... Once inside, look for "Chassie tillbehör" and then the first subcategory, "Infästningar, Fästöron" and you'll see them.
