CBL, DPH gearbox?

I can get these two types of gearboxes for good price.Both are 6 speed and from S4.I would like to know which of them (maybe both) have wide first gear?

cbl are the old s4 tranny, and the dph are the newer 96-97 s6 tranny. have the familie album home ; it told me so

Great, but how do you know that dph has wide 1st gear?That means never geraboxes 96-97 (s6) are stronger, than old ones?

There are CBL trannies with wide first gear too, they have to have a higher serial number than 71xxx

I have one in pieces and I've measured the 1'st gear, so it's the real deal.
