  • This is why you never should give money too Norwegians!

Ok, these photo's are something that I found at the Norwegian Audi-VW club posted by KRB.
And Im not sure if KRB would like that I post their ''little'' secret here, but I think that they take it as free a Advert.
And Im not even sure if this has been posted before, so please dont judge me too hard.

Kai (owner of KRB) says the engine is capable of a stable 1100hk, and they are aiming at 1hk per 1 kg and a balance of fifty-fifty.

It will get a S1 bodykit, But the paint is not chosen yet (Dont be surprised if it comes out like a Pikes Peak)

Yes, it was a Audi Coupe 5S(Type 85).

If you want more Photos, Its in Norwegian but photos tell more then a thousen words.
    http://www.bilforumet.no/urquattro-s...-replikat.html
Now The Audi/VW club dont want you too view the photos for free, so I posted a alternative site (The Norwegain Car Forum).

Edit: heres another one from The Norwegian Gatebil Forum,
this one if updated by KRB. but again in Norwegian.

Go on, sell your soul for a ride.

This is the powerplant, or The one that was in the Red Ur-quattro they had once.
It will be uprated from 1033hk too go over the 1100hk border.

The One Box, Costs more than what You like too pay for it, Made by Sellholm (in sweden).
I think its a RWD box converted too AWD.
    And is ''Bomb-Proof''

Too let you get some ideas.

    Whats next? IL 10?

                Stroooooooooth.... MOnster in the building.

Two things of special note -

                1. Inboard brakes aways freak me out but make sense sometimes
                2. I have exactly the same camber guage

Woah - 3rd observation... See how much of the engine is behind the front wheel - pretty unusual for a normal quattro of any type. I am in awe at the level of craftmanship going into this kind of fabrication... Saw another Norwegian shop with documented rebuilds on GpB rallycars - Lancias, Audis and others - made you want to weep at the work those guys could do.

If you see they have put the il5 engine a bit more to the back, so the car gets nicer balanced, however I wonder how they will take care the front wheels are connected and powered.
Does this shift of moving the engine to the middle will place the driver on the back seat?

Finally a use for the SWB backseat!

Whats that animal gonna rev to in order to hit 1100bhp ?

I was gonna run some numbers on my engine simulator spreadsheet just for a laugh to see how much air you need to push for that sort of power on a 2.2l engine.

OK - for the purposes of comedy and ball park estimates... Assuming 3bar boost, 10000 rpm, 95%VE, CE & IE in excess of 80-90% and 10 degrees ambient air... With a target AFR of 10:1 at a CR of 8.1 running 20% Toluene I can see 801kW - thats almost 1100bhp.

You'd need 2x750cc injectors per cylinder at 4bar pressure and fuel pumps capable of flowing 7.6 liters of fuel per minute at 7bar - this is proper scarey supercar stuff. If you could run full throttle for 9 minutes constant you would just about empty a 70 liter tank.
