Fault codes

Forgive me for being such a novice, but I pulled the codes on my aby with one of these

Ignition was on but engine wasn't running and codes came up as follows

00516
00553
00513

Any suggestions on these faults?

Should the car be running to allow to a full test of all engine signals?

Sorry in advance if this is easy stuff but I m new to thee motors.

00281 1231 Vehicle Speed Sensor (G68*), incorrect signal
Vehicle Speed Sensor (G68*), no signal
(* Note: scan tool displays G68 in error, actual component is G54, G22, or G21)

no idea what it is

00516 2121 Closed Throttle Position Switch (F60), short circuit to ground,
Closed Throttle Position Switch (F60), open/short circuit to positive (+)
Closed Throttle Position Switch (F60), signal to ground
Closed Throttle Position Switch (F60), signal to positive

connector unplugged, or wiring failure

00553 2324 Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70), incorrect signal
Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70), open/short circuit to B+
Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70), short circuit to ground (gnd)
Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70), signal too high
Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70), signal too low

connector unplugged, or wiring failure, or sensor failure

00513 2111 Engine Speed Sensor (G28), no signal
Engine Speed Sensor (G28), incorrect signal
Engine Speed Sensor (G28), mechanical malfunction

It is normal fault for non cranked, non running engine.

Any suggestions on these faults?

Maybe this is why I don't get any readings on onboard computer apart from anticipated miles from fuel tank volume and time travelled since reset button pressed.

Thankyou for the pointers just need to carry out the tests, any ideas on how to test the throttle switch and maf.
