  • SAMCO GP April/May 2008

Its official - I am opening another Samco group purchase for anyone interested

I have received many messages over recent months and I have asked people to be patient so here goes.

    Boost Kit is GBP210
    Water Kit is GBP175
Plus postage of course insured/tracked etc (approx £20 for UK, £30 for EU, £40 for US and £50 for anywhere else)

Any colour you like from Black, Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Orange & Purple

    Hose clips are NOT included.

Available for 3B, ABY, ADU - LHD or RHD - Please tell me what you need.

Lead time is 4-6 weeks from when I place the order. All orders must be prepaid in advance as I get no credit from Samco.

For anyone in a hurry, I expect to place 1st phase of this batch order on 2nd May.

A 2nd phase of the batch will be mid or late May depending on the interest level and numbers involved. Maybe a 3rd batch if numbers persist but I aim for a cutoff on last batch no later than 30th May.

I'll get the bulk delivery approx 4-6 weeks after each batch is ordered then aim to post out individual kits within a week or so.

To proceed, PLEASE send me a PM with your requirements and which batch you would like to be in. For payment I can accept Paypal (plus dreaded 4.5% fees), a wire transfer (you pay all the fees) or a UK personal cheque. Let me know your payment preference and I'll get back with details.

    Thanks,

    Paul

As you didn't have any issue advertising your Samco's within the area I paid for showing my products then I trust you haven't an issue showing a similar product with yours?

5 hose boost kit to suit ABY/ADU
    Audi 5 hose kit
If you compare the specification Roose comes out better as the turbo to intercooler hose is Nomex to project it against the heat.

      Both seem like good options.
Roose due to the (admitedly brilliant) Nomex lining.
Samco because they are tried and tested and the "industry standard".
No need for handbags at dawn though boys. Already been there as you linked to Corey!
Your intonation is a little "off" though Corey IMHO.

Yeah whatever, its a free country... But the Samco hoses are perfectly up to the task as a multi-layered, reinforced, flouro-lined hose. That Nomex layer doesn't add any value in my opinion - sure its hot down there, but the Samco material doesn't fail at such high temps. I've ran them for years - so have umpteen others - no heat issues.

This Nomex layer is pure FUD... And I think your reference to my post about Samcos in your post was the delivery issues that you were having on the Roose items - I was just offering to help someone else out if they were stuck for hoses.

        Peace already.

Ok well the above seemed to answer a question i was thinking about alternatives.

Paul, can you get the 70-60 straight reducer from Samco as well for the MarkH mod out of interest?

Any pictures of how many/which hoses you get relative to a 3B, water and turbo?

Lastly can you get the small (4mm?)vac pipe from them as well?

Basically, thinking im gonna go for a full set, (would be for 2nd batch) but would like to do the above in one hit if im going to, and buying all from the same supplier/colour would be nice.

The 60-70mm reducer hose can be got from any Samco / SFS distributor or go-faster shop. Same for the 4mm stuff. Seriously its easily got - no value in me chasing it as it just complicates my order with Samco direct.

3B Boost kit is all 6 hoses - does NOT include that 70-60 reducer.
Water kit is all 10 hoses.

Search the forum for pics - they are about, but send me an Email if you can't find them.

Roosemotorsport, ask for a 60-70 reducer 45mm long 4 ply and the colour. Costs about £12.00, you just need to add clamps.
                Tooling already exist.
Most hose suppliers will sell you a standard reducer length (normally 100mm) which you have to cut down, the problem with this is the area you are clamping on is tapered which can give an incosistant seal. Plus you have the job of trying to cut it neatly or attempting to slice your finger off.
Plus the vacuum tubing is available from Roose also.

Thats the braided stuff - OEM spec, but yes it will replace any knackered old worn stuff you may have on the car.

Fair points from Corey, but as i said, want to get it all from one place, and as they dont do a 3B kit or water hoses.....

And guessing thats the Vac hose im thinking of, just remember seeing that size mentioned in another thread somewhere being replaced with Samco type hose, and thought it was a good idea

I'll ping this thread every couple of days for a while just to help with visibility for everyone. I have started sending PMs to everyone who has asked about kits and hoses since January. Its quite a list... Please shout with a PM if I've missed you.

Paul, my mechanic is asking about these kits as mine has a secondary water pump which he reckons is unusual....

We all S2/RS2 owners have that 2nd water pump. The water kit from Samco covers it.
