Brake warning - G00 2000

Brake warning came up on the way home today, Brake fluid's ok but G00 2000 looks low, trouble is I haven't got any, is there anything else I can use, its says "use only mineral oil" on the reservoir, anything I can buy at Halfrauds? Green ATF? Or do I have to wait till the steeler opens monday morning? I've got some Type G ford ATF in the garage

Maybe you can source one of these alternatives at a local factors?

There is Febi Bilstein 7.1 Mineral Base Audi Power Steering Fluid or
Pentosin 11S Synthetic Mineral Base Audi Power Steering Fluid

I'd personally hold out for the real stuff for peace of mind even though the above alternatives are quoted to safe to mix with existing G00 2000 fluid.

G002000 only IMO, i've heard ATF is bad for the seals.

Get it from the stealer or german and swedish...but i think you will find the part number has changed. (see attached photo)

Do not put atf in it cos it will knacker all your seals

G 004 ooo m2 is the only one to use. hold out untill you get the right gear
using ATF can and will damage your pas pump i should know i busted two pumps before i wised up and started using G 004 000 m2 ATF will eat the seals in the pas pump. better to be safe then sorry later on.

I agree with others !

Definitely hold out for the right stuff and buy extra in case it is the case that you have a small leak somewhere and it will happen again.

Better to have too much than none. Also maybe carry a small bit in the car until you decipher why your level has or is going down. HTH.

ATF will wreck the seals.

Kind regards,

Cool chaps, I will wait for the Good Oil (as they say in Australia)

Need to have a good look for the leak, hopefully just an O ring..
