Hi Guys,
I am getting to the stage in my life when I am suppose to give up fast cars for big 4 door saloon cars for the ease of putting in a baby seat, so I am going to be selling the S2 and my A3 1.8t sport quattro.
I have had the car S2 since 2003 and will hate to part with it but needs must. The car is on a J plate and has covered ONLY 170000 miles it is dark green metallic with a black leather interior. It has all the usual refinements of a S2 Electric mirrors/windows/sunroof, heated front seats etc. I have also fitted the plasma gauges from Bo, but not the aux cluster ones but they will be included in the sale of the car. Also just bought a new front badge for £30 from Audi.
Ok now the bad bit:
I am getting 2 new front shockers fitted on Monday and a reconditioned starter motor as the original one is fooked. The reason the car came off the road was because the speedo stopped working and I changed the gearbox sensor and the odometer head but still no joy. I think it is the Abs sensors as it is now showing a fault and I am in the process of trying to get it fixed. The drivers seat needs a bolster replaced and the seat panel is worn, also the plasma gauges from bo stopped working but I think its my wiring and not a fault with them. On the outside of the car there are a few small patches where rust is bubbling the paint but I am working on them at the moment (Edges of doors and top of the front windscreen).
Can anyone advise me of the current price that a S2 of this age and standard would sell for, I just don’t want to be selling it on fleabay. I live in Skye on the west coast of Scotland but am prepared to drive the car to almost any where in Britain for delivery.
Don’t Worry I’m still going to get another Audi as the wife said it must be a safe car sooooo I’m looking at a 2000 A6 4.2 V8 Quattro saloon.
