Would be nice to meet up again and have a look at your car, remember I sold you that 3B ECU some years ago
Yeah, I remember! It worked nice, even though it was from a 200 20V. But it looks like it will be out of work in a while

We must have a chat next weekend!

Thanks

Small update, most for all you Nordschleife-junkies...

Was down for the last time this summer to get the bimmer home for winter-service after 75laps this summer. (Divided on 3 drivers) Spent a long weekend 17-21 okt including a 1000km VLN race at the Nordschleife
Monday was the best day I have ever had down there, no traffic what so ever and perfect autum wheather with 5deg+

We drove my everyday 320d for transport and "service-car" for the trip home. (1400 km one way) I drove the e30 all the way, quite tiresome with 4pt harness, bucketseat and earprotection all the way.. But hey, it is worth it

Anyway, to much BMW talk on this Audi forum for now, I have also started winter service on the S2 wich includs some rework on the "interior", a very small gel-battery (saves me +10kg), upgrade from 4 to 6pt harness etc. Pictures will follow

I think this video says it all about our "perfect monday"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuGQqSb11zc

Edit: It is our e30 passing me right before Hohe Acht with Martin behind the wheel. And pretending to zig-zag just after Brünchen to keep up the heat in the tires. (Because I am to slow in the diesel)

BTW best lap with the unmodified diesel was 9.19 BTG, the lap on the link is 9.21.

And we also got to try trackday driving at the GP track on Sunday. First time for me and that was also a lot of fun

Get a Z3 rack in the E30, makes a massive difference

Yes, we will consider it. We have some friends that have done it to their "budget racer" also. Personally I think that the original one worked just fine, but I haven't tried anyone with the Z3 rack either...
I'll guess it is all up to how much time and money that are left after the all the other service and upgrades
(This a cheap budget car on the side for all 3 of us, we all have other "project cars" as well. Time and money to spare the e30 are often very limmited...
