I posted on our sports car email group a right up about the new RS5 on the way. I was bombarded by how much better the ol scoobies were, so I made a tongue in cheek comment about good ol German engineering vs Japanese marketing for market share

And the said Scooby owner got into a heated respons then when there was no one feeding the troll, he came up with this Disclaimer , quite funny people with inferiority complexes:

        "
DISCLAIMER: This email was written by a person driving a cheap Jap car, of which the all the mechanicals put together cost less than just the metals used in the motor's block of superior German branded Audi RS cars. This cheap Jap car's engine is only the size of the RS5's oil pumps, suitable for oil flow travelling at huge speeds to ensure bearings donʼt run dry. Admittedly the engineering of the RS5's head is untouchable and the author of this email will never question this fact. The Jap car has however been driven 1100km to Phakisa raceway in 2005, where it was driven by two drivers on the race track for two days and driven 1100km back to Cape Town again. The cheap Jap car currently has 214000km on the clock and is in daily use by the author of this email. The cheap Jap car has also never had the privilege of going for train rides to far off places as it had to rely on its own propulsion to reach its destinations. It has also successfully competed in a number of hill climbs, track days, multi-discipline streetcar track events and numerous gymkhanas. This with daily use has accumulated to the 214000km on the original motor, with original turbo, heads, manifolds and up-pipes. The author of this email has no responsibility for the huge differences in price, build quality and engineering between his cheap Jap car and the magnificent, untouchable range of Audi RS cars. It is also therefore unrealistic for owners of the magnificent, untouchable Audi RS cars with superior build quality to hold any grudges against the author of this email for simply enjoying the performance of his cheap little Jap car on a daily basis. The author of this email is grateful that there is room for manufacturers like Subaru that make cheap Jap cars that have performance levels comparable to the magnificent, superiorly built German cars and therefore can still enjoy a smile a day as he drives his cheap Jap car past various magnificent German cars
