The blower box dismembered

As i am renewing my klimatronic box for my car, i thought it would be cool to show you guys how does it look on the inside. If you have poor ventilation, you can find some causes here. The box is easy to open, it just have some metal clips, a couple of screws and some plastic clips.

First of all: Flaps foam completly rotten.



You can see a plastic clip on the far left a metal clip on the far right, and a naked flap in the middle:



It happens from time to time that you get a piece of foam blown in your face, when you set the fan speed on max.

This is the first of the 3 parts of the box. The heater core box:

I had this when the heater matrix went in mine.
I seem to remember you have to have the spongy felt stuff on to direct the air correctly or the Up screen/face/feet control will not work. It blows out everywhere.

Yes, i had the issue in previous cars, when i set in to the bottom, i felt air blowing me in the face. Now i know why was it happening.

This is the first of the flaps with new foam. It is a self adhesive foram, used for domestic AC and heating tubing.

i did the american thing and used duck tape
as suggested to me by my american friend and all
