Audi TT-RS with 2.5L IL5T review
Flat out review
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Audi-TTRS_688317.htm Review is in Dutch, but the highlights are: - Good price - Very fast (max 288 KM/H unlocked) - Audi stated full boost (520 Nm) around 1600 RPM, but reviewer feels it only from 2000 RPM onwards. - S-button opens exhaust pipe to bypass one damper (apart from changes to suspension and electronics) for more sound which sounds fantastic - A lot of oversteer in wet circumstances with Quattro WOT - Not a lot of space inside the cabin, the dog fits on the rear seats - The TT-RS is not a car for gay hairdressers anymore! ![]()

FINALLY - a TT for real men. Audi has shown us a sign they have not completely forgotten their roots...... Oh it sounds really nice and familiar. Great spec at 520Nm BTW - wonder how long it holds torque above 400Nm (300lbft ish). Nice active exhaust. Hats off to them for the packaging - even if it is not 'proper quattro' - to squeeze that lump in there transverse is no mean feat.
I may regret saying this - but I rather like it - WAY outta my price league but give it 10yrs or so - LOL. It looks much more like the spiritual successor to the S2 - versus the big bloated A5/S5... IMHO neway Postiing this with audio only of that clip playing - and it really sounds nice.

hmm, can think of a whole list of cars which make it into that bracket and not many carry the 4rings ![]() Does sound great, shame they never made a play on the UR roots though for me....the cars these days look fat for all the wrong reasons |
