  • K24R S2 MPH Dials / Dial Faces

As some may have been following from the peeling speedo thread, I've had a small batch of replica S2 dial faces specially made to replace the peeling faces that many S2s suffer from, much more cost effective than a new speedo unit or secondhand dials that will peel sooner rather than later! The dial faces are of excellent quality and are almost indistinguishable from the OE dials. I have 18 sets to sell. The dials are S2 grey and are for the 160+mph speedo, they will fit other models from the pictures I've seen - please inform me what car these are for before purchase so that I can ensure that they fit.

Price including delivery for the 4 dials is £69

I'd prefer not to split a set but if I do then:-

    Speedo £30
    Tacho £30
    Fuel £15
    Temperature £15

Linky to fitting and picture thread.

    The money shot:-

    Before and after:-

Good inititive rusty! I havent had the problem yet myself.. but just to ask.. do you have templates for km/h faces as well? perhaps some other people with km/h dials have the problem right now?

I'll happily look into km/h dials although I think someone posted a link to them in another thread. I can get them sorted if someone sends me a dial to use as a template. Same goes for S4/6 too.

If I can get a set to use as replicas then I can get them sorted.

I've updated the first post with a picture of the dials fitted, if you can tell them from OE then you're a Hawk!

My 10 valve coupe is off the road for a month or so for a major overhaul and five stud conversion ready for it's 10 VT transplant. I'd quite like a set of S2 style clocks for the car once it's done, so I could lend you my current faces. it's got the 160mph speedo and 6.4K rev counter.

These look spot on by the way

S2 dial faces will fit right in, from the pics I've seen there's very little difference between the 2 speedos amd the rev clock is just the colouring, perfect excuse to up the rev limiter

If you want a set of exact replicas with S2 colouring then send them to me and I'll look into it Aux gauges too, would need the whole assy including lights.

Was thinking of sorting some boost gauges but VDO have stopped making the +2/-1 style one like I have. Would have to be a cheaper gauge with the closest matching needle to OE. There are a few on Demon Tweeks.

If the rev counter still reads correctly on other models using the ones you've already done then there's not a lot of point in getting more made with 0.6k less, as you say good excuse to up the red-line a little. There's very little difference between the 160+ speedo and the standard 160 speedo so I can't see that being a problem at all.

I'll have a look both my sets of clocks, if the S2's rev counter merely goes round a bit further with 0K and 6K both in the same place then they'll fit and be accurate.
