1996 Audi A6 2.5TDI Quattro Estate – 142k AEL engine/6 speed
I bought the car from a work collegue (he had it for 1 1/2 years). It
needed a bottom pulley, he didn't want to spent the money on it. I
bought it anyway and replaced pretty much everything it needed.
I have the car mapped (standard chips available), FWD downpipe and decat, new nozzles from 151bhp transporter.
I bought it with 133k on it last year and put it through MOT before Christmas. It now has 142k. It was originally bought to transport 7 bikes and 3 guys to France this summer but after a recent biking trip to Fortwilliam in Scotland, I think we would be better taking my camper
van, hence the Audi might be for sale.
This is what I replaced: I have receipts for most things, I do most
of the stuff myself, but any major stuff I have a guy do it for and I
just pay him cash.
Bottom crank Pulley : 97
Timing belt kit : 142
Service Kit : 32.20
Headlights : 74.75
Misc Audi, Bolts etc : 42.83
Chip : 38
Full Decat, using FWD downpipe. 60
MOT: 30.50
Rear Disc and Pads 40
Track rod end 11
Transporter nozzles 148
New CV Joint including fitting 70
Second Hand Prop – 100
New Rear Shocks 180 incl fitting
Mats : 39
Stereo : 70
New Sunroof potentiometer = 22
Heater Matrix 27 - not yet fitted
Rear Tail Light 38
Boot lid cover 35
Wheels and tyres 350 – These are genuine Audi S4 wheels bough from a guy I know, I just put 2 new tyres on last month at £110
I got a second key cut and coded, so this will run/start the car. 29
Standard A6 Grill and Quattro badge 30 – Kamei grill available aswell.
Clutch Slave Cylinder 33
I have done other stuff I cant really price, Like removing centre boxes from exhaust system and fitting rear tailpipe. The car is overall good condition but does show signs of age/mileage.
Bits of wear the steering wheel, seat etc. There is surface rust starting to show around arches on the car, but generally the car is pretty clean, no rot anywhere, doesn’t look like its ever been damaged. It looks tidy enough when cleaned up see pics below.
I have actually shocked myself just adding up the price of the bits, so realistically would be £1900 for it the way it sits!!! Other things needing done, rear passenger window does work, heater matrix needs replace, I bought one but never got round to fitting. Also air-con needs re-gassed, it was holding pressure before I removed it for pulleys and belts etc.
I’m located in Northern Ireland so that wont help, but if anyone wants to come over I can pick up from both airports etc.
I have original cats/wheels/lights etc.
Thanks
Ivan
