  • (supra killer) 1200+hp fox mustang with audi 7a

I wanted to post some updates of my build. It is a1990 mustang with a audi 7a and a powerglide. I am building the cage to 25.5 specs and plan on running a gt4788 turbo and nitrous . Here are some photos of the progress, enjoy. More updates soon.

        Rude question,

How did you come to want to use an Audi 2.2L engine in Mustang rather than say a 5.0L V8 with twin turbos ?

        or put another way,

how did you come to use a Mustang body rather than an Audi Coupe body with a 2.2L Audi engine ?

Just curious how you arrived at the marriage of the Audi engine with the body ?

Welcome btw, and thanks for sharing. Always good to see something outside the norm.

I love audi i5 motors and always had mustangs for race cars. The mustang is a proven chassis for drag racing and the audi engine is a proven powerplant. I was going to run a v8 but I couldn't let myself build another one lol. Here are a couple photos of my old cars, the new car will look very similar once the paint is finished.

the amount of money in the JIC connectors alone is probably worth half the 2nd hand s2 for sales here excellent project! be interesting to see the results

Are you using the stock 7a pistons machined ( lower compression ratio ) or planning on some other exoctica in the engine

My goal is 1200whp. The main goal is run in the 7s and be a contender in drag radial/10.5 tire racing classes.

11.5/1 compression ? i would have thought 8.5/1 max if your goal is 1200hp
