  • Pressurised MAFs

I need to move my MAF into the intake pipework after the IC. But i have a few questions

How do i mount it?? As the plastic ends will not take a huge force from a hoseclip

What do I do about a dump valve? Do i stick with a recirc. and if so where do i put the pipes???

If anyone can get some picture of their cars that would be a real help.

So the MAF doesnt have boost then, only vacuum from turbo?

Look Tom - just like my drawing I did for you!

If you have the maf after the turbo does that not mean you can have a dump(to air) valve?

One problem with this - if the air going through the MAF gets hotter(quickly) does it make the MAF reading inaccurate?

On the intake side the air temp is relatively consistant - on the boost side you can get +40 deg C increase through the revs on-boost?

What does Mihnea say to this?

I only made small adjustments to the ECU. No problems. Even runs nice right after I moved it and no change to ECU.

                            BTW.
MAF measures the amount of oxygen passing.
                            Warn air = less oxygen.
                            Cold air = more oxygen

He isnt too sure as he has never mapped a car with it like this. intake temps will stay low on my car anyway. They never get above 30 degs, even with hard abuse!

Yes you do have to have a dump to air type DV. I do have one of these, but i hated the noise. Sounds like a ned car! Will have to get an HKS one or something with all my spare cash
